SJPC created the “Is Sacramento Working for You?” survey to understand how our community feels about the Sacramento City Council and County Board of Supervisors on three key metrics:
Accessibility: Government accessibility means it is easy for people to engage, understand, and have a say in how things are run. For example, this includes meeting the language and disability needs of community members.
Transparency: Government transparency means making sure everyone knows what the government is doing and how they make decisions.
Accountability: Government accountability means making sure the government keeps its promises and gives people ways to make sure they do.
These survey results will inform SJPC’s educational programming & goals so that we can best meet the needs of our community. Results will also provide valuable insight into the shortcomings of our local government in involving, informing, and engaging residents of their districts. It’s crucial that our government becomes aware of these gaps in accessibility, transparency and accountability, so that they can work to close them.
