On June 10th, 2021 Staff Member Robert W Williams presented Item #4 Eden of Sac - Cannabis Site at 5705 Power Inn Road. After one phone call in opposition, the commission approved the conditional use permit.
During this hearing Commissioner Wallace and Boyd checked in on what is being done to continue to support CORE applicants. The staff reported that the building department does expedite permits, offer funding options, and other supports.
The meeting got a real community feel with commissioner Young asked a question about the Power In Alliance, a Property Business Improvement Districts (PBID), and the director of community programs called in to answer it.
